The objectives in the Hungarian Follower Region are to:
- Investigate the feasibility and replication of P2GreeN’s innovative solutions
- Promote and support the adoption of these solutions in Hungary
- Transfer knowledge and training from the pilot regions to Hungary
Feasibility Study:
- Fertilizer from diverted urine produced in construction sites in Budapest
Training and knowledge transfer:
- Focus group to assist with the feasibility studies and identify the pain points of P2GreeN’s proposed solutions
- Meetings with Rolling Hygenic to gather data and understand regional context
- National workshop to introduce the project, the legislation framework and initiate a twinning process
- National workshop to provide training on circular business models and the governance framework
- EU-Wide workshops to provide business insights and policy frameworks around nutrient recovery and how can cities and regions close the nutrient loop

- Fertigation with treated wastewater in the agricultural region of Karditsa
- Fertilizer from diverted urine produced within the Athens Agricultural University Campus
- Fertilizer from diverted urine provided by a portable toilet company
Training and knowledge transfer:
- Focus group in Athens to assist with the feasibility studies and identify the pain points of P2GreeN’s proposed solutions
- Field visits in Karditsa and Athens to gather data and understand regional context
- National workshop to introduce the project, the legislation framework and initiate a twinning process
- National workshop to provide training on circular business models and the governance framework
