P2GreeN at IFAT Munich 2026

We are excited to announce that P2GreeN will be present at IFAT Munich 2026, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for water, sewage, waste, and raw materials management, taking place from 4–7 May 2026 in Munich, Germany.

On 5 May, P2GreeN will host a dedicated panel discussion under the title:

“Beyond Disposal: P2GreeN and the New Era of Resource Management”

The session will bring together researchers, practitioners, and innovators from across the P2GreeN consortium to discuss the transition from conventional wastewater management to circular nutrient recovery. Key themes will include:

  • Shifting the focus from pollutant removal to nutrient recovery – from waste to resource
  • Closing the loop through a circular economy approach, recovering essential nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) from urine, faeces, and wastewater for sustainable fertiliser production
  • Protecting ecosystems by minimising nutrient losses in agriculture to prevent environmental damage and safeguard water and land systems
  • Hurdles and opportunities in upscaling and implementing circular sanitation solutions

The panel will feature the following speakers:

Moderator: Isabell Szallies, agrathaer GmbH (P2GreeN Coordinator)

Panellists:

  • Anita Beblek, agrathaer GmbH (Germany)
  • Dr Stefan Karlowsky, Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops / IGZ (P2GreeN Co-Coordinator)
  • Anna Calmet, Kreiswerke Barnim (Germany)
  • Nadège de Chambrier, VunaNexus AG (Switzerland)
  • Enno Schröder, Goldeimer gGmbH (Germany)
