The EU-funded WE-RISE initiative, under the Horizon Europe framework, launches a new call to support women-led tech startups in the GreenTech, AgriTech, and ClimateTech sectors. This initiative is part of WE-RISE’s broader mission to bridge the gender gap in deep tech entrepreneurship and promote innovation in sustainability-driven sectors.
The call aims to identify and support 20 high-potential startups led by women and based in EU Member States or countries associated with Horizon Europe. Priority will be given to startups established in moderate or emerging innovator countries, as identified by the EU Innovation Scoreboard, particularly those that have already achieved product-market fit or have raised at least a seed round of financing.
The selected startups will benefit from a structured two-phase support programme designed to strengthen their market presence and accelerate growth.
The two-phase programme includes:
- Phase 1 (3 months): A foundational growth phase offering targeted training, coaching, and networking. Selected startups receive a €5,000 grant to support partnership building and initial development activities.
- Phase 2 (4 months): An implementation phase providing advanced business coaching, investor matchmaking, and stakeholder engagement. The top-performing startups from Phase 1 will receive an additional €50,000 grant to scale their solutions.
