ESNI-NERM 2026 CONFERENCE
We are pleased to announce that P2GreeN will be represented at the European Sustainable Nutrient Initiative – Nutrient Event & Resource Management (ESNI-NERM) Conference, held on 28–29 April 2026.
Our partner ICLEI will be attending the conference on behalf of the consortium, contributing to discussions on the role of local and regional governance in advancing circular sanitation.
Our key message
Local and regional governments are critical enablers of circular sanitation systems. By combining strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, infrastructure adaptation, and proactive regulatory influence, they can transform nutrient management from a waste challenge into a resource opportunity.
Our structured approach – Strategise, Educate, Mobilise, Implement, Support, and Shape – provides a practical roadmap for accelerating the transition toward safe, scalable nutrient recovery and reuse.
The change we are working towards
The circular sanitation transition we envision will deliver impact across multiple dimensions:
- System change: Shifting from waste management towards circular nutrient systems integrated across sectors
- Scaling solutions: Wider adoption of circular sanitation and nutrient reuse practices
- Collaboration: Stronger multi-stakeholder ecosystems and local value chains
- Awareness: Increased public understanding and acceptance of resource recovery
- Enabling conditions: More supportive financing frameworks and innovation-friendly regulation
- Outcomes: Reduced pollution, lower emissions, and improved resource efficiency
We look forward to contributing to the European conversation on sustainable nutrient stewardship.
Stay tuned for updates from the event.
