We are thrilled to see our Aurin, a liquid fertiliser recovered from human urine, featured in The Guardian in the article “This is not a hippy thing: the startup recycling urine to make natural fertiliser”, with David de Chambrier of VunaNexus explaining the technology and the purpose behind it. 🌱

The article dives into how urine can be separated at source, stripped of micropollutants, and concentrated into a nutrient-rich liquid fertilizer- recovering the nitrogen and phosphorus that plants need, right from what we flush away every day. From installations in major European cities to pilots with farmers, the technology is proving that circular sanitation is not just possible – it’s happening. 💚

This is exactly the kind of real-world impact P2GreeN set out to support, and seeing it reach a global audience is something the entire consortium can be proud of.
